Co-presented by the VA and Paralyzed Veterans of America, The National Veterans Wheelchair Games is the largest annual wheelchair sporting event for military veterans. The games were launched in 1981 to demonstrate the incredible character displayed by our service members and to honor our veterans. Over the years, they have brought together vets from all modern U.S. conflicts to recognize their courage and celebrate their camaraderie.
This year’s National Veterans Wheelchair Games will be held from August 8th to August 13th in New York City.
Any veteran qualified to receive VA care and who also suffers from spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, amputation(s), or other permanent, measurable neurological condition may enter.
Registering for the Veteran Wheelchair Games is done via a combination of online and paper forms. Registration requirements and guidelines can be found here.
