When You Need Some R&R

By Debbie Gregory.

Veterans Day affords us the opportunity to recognize those who have served and continue to serve in our nation’s armed forces. It is through their service and sacrifices that we live in freedom.

On Veterans Day, you can find quite a few veterans taking advantage of the many opportunities offered to them, from complimentary restaurant meals to discounted power tools. But one opportunity that all veterans should take advantage of is a discounted vacation.

Armed Forces Vacation Club and Veterans Holidays salute veterans and active military this week by offering $50 off select seven-night resort stays in celebration of Veterans Day. The discount is available today through November 15, 2016.

Popular destination spots available include Orlando, Las Vegas, Branson, and Lake Tahoe. Eligible members can also book travel to international vacation spots including Mexico, the Bahamas, New Zealand, and many European destinations.

Accommodations range in size from studios to three bedrooms, many of which include living rooms, full kitchens, and access to resort amenities.

Significant disruptions in their lives and other personal hardships have been the price that our nation’s military members and veterans have paid, so that the rest of us might enjoy the fruits of justice and liberty.

“We know that vacations can offer quality family bonding and rejuvenation time, which is so important for veterans, active military, retirees and their families.” said Tracey Moore, director of Marketing. “We created both of our clubs to offer affordable resort accommodations to make vacationing accessible to those who serve or have served our great nation.”

Membership for eligible military and veterans is complimentary, and provides access to discounted vacations year round. Armed Forces Vacation Club is open to active duty, guard, reserve and retired members of the U.S. Armed Forces, as well as civilian employees of the Department of Defense. Veterans Holidays is open to all veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Membership provides access to seven-night vacation accommodations, starting from $349 per week, as well as other vacation options and travel planning resources.

To become a member and take advantage of the limited time offer, visit AFVClub.com  or VeteransHolidays.com. See website for full terms and conditions.
