The Military Child Education Coalition podcast, For the Sake of the Child celebrates the resiliency of military-connected children and provides resources for addressing the unique challenges faced by military families. Hosts cover topics like starting the scholarship search for a soon-to-be high school graduate, what it’s like to be the child of a newly retired veteran, and growth following mental illness.
For all of April, in honor of the Month of the Military Child, the MCEC podcast will feature future history makers – our military children – as they tell their unique stories about what it’s like to be a military kid. It is truly a podcast for military kids, by military kids.
Each of April’s episodes are co-produced and guest-hosted by military child and high school senior, Tathiana. So far this month she’s interviewed Zeke, who shared his journey of being a military kiddo with Downs Syndrome. Her next episode is set to be released this week.
