Command Responsibility Military Pay What is Command Responsibility Military Pay? Those officers serving in positions with the authority to administer military justice and serving in approved command positions in pay grades O-6 and below receive additional military pay, Command Responsibility Pay to acknowledge the their additional responsibilities. Acting, deputy and vice commanders do not qualify for this special pay. Reserve and National Guard officers are eligible. They receive prorated daily pay based on the time they are performing command duties. The rates vary from a high of $150 a month or $5 daily for O-6’s to $100 a month or $3.33 daily for O-5’s and $50 a month or $1.66 daily for O-4’s and below. At this time this pay is only paid by the Navy and it is taxable. | |
