There is no way we can ever properly thank members of the US Military for all that they have done. They are certainly not paid enough for their work and their great sacrifice. Iraq and Afghanistan have been particularly tough and stressful for members of the military, their families and loved ones.
We have found stores and services doing their part to make life easier by offering discounts to active, reserve, and retired members of the US Military and their immediate family members. We are also including a section of Veterans Day Specials that are being offered. Please help spread the word via Facebook, Twitter and Email to those you know in the military about this resource. Two important caveats. First, some stores offer discounts only at the owner’s discretion and other discounts vary by state. Second, many stores that give a military discount don’t advertise it. It is always worth asking a store whether they have one or not and to have your military ID on you.

Free Park Admissions for Veterans Day
Fee Free Day at National Parks. To honor America’s service men and women, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced that areas managed by the National Park Service would not charge entrance fees for Veterans Day weekend. Everyone is eligible, not just veterans. Over 100 national Parks will be participating in this event.

Knotts Berry Farm Military Tribute Days – Free Admission –. Knott’s Berry Farm has an annual Military Tribute event in which they offer military members past and present by offering free park admission. Pro Football Hall of Fame – Free Admission. Annual Veterans Day Salute. Any veteran or member of the armed forces and their spouse or a guest will be admitted free of charge to the Hall of Fame for a day-long recognition of US Military veterans.
