MilitaryConnection.com, known as the “Go To Site” for resources and information for active duty military, Veterans, and their family members, is pleased to announce the media sponsorship of the 21st Annual International Military & Civilian Combat Stress Conference. This annual multi-disciplinary event brings civilian and military medical and mental health professionals from around the world together to share their clinical expertise and integrative treatment.

“From The Battlefield To The Neighborhood” will take place at the Tri-City Wellness Center, San Diego (Carlsbad), California, from Friday-Sunday, May 16-18, 2014. Pre-Conference C.E. Courses will be available in advance of the conference, Wednesday-Friday, May 14-16, 2014. The C.E. Courses will allow attendees to earn from 2.5 to 36 C.E. Hours.

The conference will also premier of the documentary “The Hidden Enemy” on Friday, May 16th, at 6 pm. The documentary features interviews with over 80 soldiers and experts. Since its release in November, 2013, the film has won two awards – The Bronze Telly and the Platinum AVA Digital Award. Following the screening, there will be a reception, with two decorated Navy SEALS in attendance to discuss the documentary. The documentary film is as powerful as it is educational.

MilitaryConnection.com is spreading the word about this valuable conference for a number of reason, most importantly to try to stem the tide of military/Veteran suicides. “The rise in the number of active duty military and Veterans committing suicide is unacceptable,” said Military Connection CEO Debbie Gregory. “Any action that we can take to reduce this statistic is the very least we can do.”
