What information do you have on the MyCAA program for military spouses?

The MyCAA program is just one of the many education VA benefits the military offers its members and military spouses. Every military spouse is able to utilize the military scholarships, military spouse education and other military education opportunities afforded to each military family. Along with the MyCAA program, military spouses can take advantage of the military benefits associated with Military OneSource.

The MyCAA program is set up to assist the military spouse of a military member with education and career needs, including helping them find military scholarships and other military education assistance methods. Military spouses seeking a decent military spouse education can utilize the VA benefits provided to their military member. Military OneSource is a great place to start understanding the different military scholarships, education and career opportunities available.

The MyCAA program was recently reopened to new recipients in October 2010 and continues to provide military education and military spouse education opportunities to each military spouse. Upon the reopening, a few new stipulations were added to the MyCAA program. Some of these include a maximum financial benefit of $4,000, not exceeding $2,000 per year; military spouses are required to complete their program of study within 3 years from the start of the program; these VA benefits are limited to each military spouse seeking associate degrees, certifications and licensures. Complete rules can be found on the Military OneSource website as well as information on VA benefits, military scholarships, changes in education benefits depending on military grade and other military education and military spouse education opportunities.
