Army Guide For Families of Fallen Soldiers The Army takes seriously its obligation to honor our fallen Soldiers and support their families during this time of grief and sorrow. The days and weeks ahead will no doubt be difficult, and while we cannot lessen your loss, we can assist you by making sure that all of the many details that surround a death in the family are taken care of in an orderly fashion.  This Guide provides an overview of the rights, benefits, privileges, and entitlements that may be available as well as the process involved in exercising them.

The Dougy Center for Grieving Children & Families The Dougy Center is supported solely through private support from individuals, foundations and companies, and receives no state or federal funding. The Dougy Center does not charge a fee for its services.
Tribute To The Troops The Tribute to the Troops ride and benefit concert began in 2004 as a way of showing the families of fallen soldiers that ordinary Americans from all walks of life care about them, are aware of their loss, and wish to acknowledge the sacrifice they and their beloved hero made for our country. The inspiration came from a video featuring the song “Home” by Rockie Lynne, a moving tribute featuring pictures of fallen soldiers from the Midwest.
Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) A one of a kind non-profit Veteran Service Organization offering hope, healing, comfort and care to thousands of American armed forces families facing the death of a loved one each year. TAPS receives absolutely no government funding, but through the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs, all families faced with a death of one serving in the Armed Forces receive information about TAPS and our military survivor programs.
