Among the various types of Military Insurance are Military Life Insurance, Military Health Insurance and Military Auto Insurance.
Serviceman’s Group Life Insurance (SGLI) provides low cost group term military life insurance. This is an excellent way to protect those you love. This military insurance is available to all servicemembers on active duty, active duty for training or inactive duty for training and members of the Guard and Reserves. When released from active duty or the Reserve, members with full-time SGLI coverage can convert their military insurance coverage to Veterans Group Life Insurance, or to an individual commercial life insurance. Servicemembers should review their debts, income and family obligations when considering the purchase of additional military insurance.
TRICARE is the Military Healthcare Insurance Program serving active duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members, retirees, their families, survivors and certain former spouses worldwide. TRICARE brings together the health care resources of the uniformed services and supplements them with networks of civilian health care professionals, institutions, pharmacies and suppliers to provide access to high-quality health care services.
Military auto insurance is often discounted to military servicemembers. If you are active duty and deployed, discuss your options with your military auto insurance agent. If you are separated or retired military, you may still be eligible for discounted military auto insurance.
