| Mark Lyden’s Biography Mark Lyden is an expert at getting people jobs. He has already helped thousands get hired even in this difficult job market. For nearly 15-years, he has been a Professional Lead Recruiter for a Fortune 50 company; a company that just happens to be one of the world’s largest military and defense contractors so he has a lot of exposure to veterans. In late 2010, Mark was approached by HonorVet (an organization co-founded by Marines Jesse Canella and Senator John McCain’s son Jim McCain, to help veterans get what they need though the use of technology). Jesse Canella, HonorVet’s CEO, asked Mark to help him with getting veterans jobs. The result was the guide/book “Veterans: DO THIS! GET HIRED!” With the help and direct feedback from many veterans from all four major branches of the military, Mark set out to give vets a comprehensive, easy to read, step by step guide to help veterans get jobs in this difficult job market. Mark’s advice is different. First it is not the same old information you can get off the internet or other sources just warmed up and re-packaged. Second, it is not 101 things for veterans to try that might work it is only those things PROVEN to work. But the biggest difference is in the effectiveness of the advice to help veterans get jobs; even when nothing else has worked. In his recruiting career Mark has recruited for small, medium, and large companies and organizations. He has screened, taught, mentored and interviewed thousands of candidates and has presented job search seminars across the country. His extensive experience plus the fact that he recruits each day in this difficult job market, gives him the unique insight on the best ways –the proven ways to approach every major step of the job search process so veterans have the best chance at getting hired. Mark is the author of a number of books: College Students: Do This! Get Hired!; Veterans: Do This! Get Hired!; and Professionals: Do This! Get Hired! (Coming Summer 2011).
