The Dignity Memorial Vietnam Wall, a three-fourths scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., will be on display Sept. 4-7 at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park.

The park is at 5600 Lindero Canyon Road in Westlake Village.

For those who have not had the opportunity to visit the wall in Washington DC, this is a great opportunity to remember, reflect, and heal.

Q. Last year there was a veterans job fair in Woodland Hills and I could not attend. Will there be another one this year?

A. The “Honor a Hero, Hire a Vet” Job and Resource Fair, for this area, will take place 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Warner Center Marriott Hotel, 21850 Oxnard Street, in Woodland Hills. This state of California sponsored event is to assist veterans, National Guard, and reservists returning from active duty, but is open to all job seekers.

For more information about the fair, contact Norma Gallegos or Emma Milo at 818-890-9421 or JSCOTNSF@edd.ca.gov.

Q. I have applied for compensation, and I know if I am approved my son will be eligible for the fee waiver. If my waiver is approved after he starts classes, will I be able to get reimbursed by the school?

A. If you are awarded service connection for a disability during the school year you should get reimbursed. I have never had a school say no for that school year. The schools will not go back beyond the current year.

Q. When I checked on a headstone for my father I was told it would be provided free of charge; the memorial park is charging me $250. Can they do that?

A. The headstone is free; you are being charged a setting fee to place the headstone at the grave.
