Operation Gratitude Operation Gratitude ( www.operationgratitude.com ) is the California- based 501 (c) (3) non-profit, all-volunteer organization that sends care packages of snacks, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation addressed to individually named U.S. Service Members deployed in hostile regions such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Guantanamo Bay and on military ships at sea. Its mission is to lift morale, bring a smile to a service members face and to express to all troops the appreciation and support of the American people. For safety and security, all assembling of packages occurs at the Operation Gratitude headquarters in Southern California. Since its inception in March, 2003, Operation Gratitude has shipped more than 210,000 packages to American troops deployed overseas.

Our Military Kids Our Military Kids, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, dedicated to funding essential extracurricular activities for school-aged children of deployed and severely injured Reserve and National Guard military personnel. The mission of Our Military Kids, Inc. is to ensure that the children of deployed and severely injured Reserve and National Guard personnel can afford to participate in activities such as youth sports, fine arts and tutoring programs that are so important in their young lives during this stressful time. Deployed Reserve and National Guard parents are making enormous sacrifices for our country. Our Military Kids, Inc. is dedicated to minimizing the sacrifices their children must make here at home.

Project Linus – Northwest Atlanta Chapter PROJECT LINUS is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization whose mission is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of NEW, HOMEMADE, WASHABLE blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer blanketeers. The Fallen Heroes Project is led by Marleen Manley, our chapter coordinator for Northwest Atlanta Georgia. Since 9-11, and as of December 4, 2006, Marleen has overseen the delivery of blankets to children of service men and women who are killed in the line of duty. She is still working to locate more children to make sure that they are given Project Linus blankets.
