American Council on Education to Host Online Brainstorm Meeting

American Council on Education to Host Online Brainstorm Meeting

Beginning May 3 and running through May 6, 2010, the American Council on Education (ACE) hosted an online event in which it discussed veteran education in the U.S. in hopes that it can remedy current concerns with the way it is handled. ACE hopes by uncovering the obstacles veterans face via the online event, it will better be able to assess the situation and reform the veteran education process.

Properly titled the “Veterans Success Jam,” ACE invited military members, veterans and their families to join representatives of universities and colleges, non-profit organizations, the federal government, and higher education associations in an online discussion. ACE members led the dialogue, which included discussion on the obstacles and opportunities veteran students face today.

Participants of the Veterans Success Jam gained access to a series of webinars that are hosted by nationally-acclaimed experts. Everything from the implementation of the Post-9/11 GI Bill to post-traumatic stress disorder will be discussed. The webinars will include special speakers and presenters that will be able to answer questions and discuss the topics in detail.
