| TRICARE Management Activity to Host First Career Fair May 03, 2010 No. 10-40 FALLS CHURCH, Va. – The military is always looking for a few good men and women to serve their country. The military health system is looking for more good professionals to help care for America’s heroes. TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) will host its first-ever career fair May 21, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Westin Tyson Corner, Falls Church, Va. Positions will be available at Falls Church and many other locations across the United States and overseas. TMA manages TRICARE, the Department of Defense’s (DoD) health care benefit for active duty and retired service members, their families and other beneficiaries entitled to military benefits. The TMA Career Fair is a free event aimed at increasing awareness about career opportunities within TMA and promoting them to U.S. citizens who want to play a vital role in serving members of the uniformed services, retirees and their families. Veterans, professionals seeking federal careers and students seeking internships are all welcome. TMA hopes to attract more than 250 professionals to the career fair in areas including:
“Direct and expedited hiring may be available for health care, acquisitions and information technology positions,” said Carlos Worthy, chief of human resources operations at TMA. “We will conduct on-site interviews and may extend tentative offer letters to qualified applicants on site.” TMA expects this career fair to be very busy and is asking attendees to first register online at www.tricare.mil/careerfair by May 19, 2010. On the day of the fair, attendees should bring a copy of their resume, DD-214s, transcripts, two forms of identification (one must be government issued), licenses and any other professional certifications with them.
