MilitaryConnection.com takes great pride in providing a multitude of resources for our nation’s military audience. The web site, launched just over one year ago, offers one of the most comprehensive directories of military resources and information on the web, featuring over 10,000 pages with thousands of valuable resources, databases and links. We receive over 250,000 daily hits. Military Connection specializes in connecting members of the military community with top government and civilian employers. All of the numerous resources and services are free to users.
Our passion is supporting the military community, and we do so in a variety of ways. It is our pleasure to once again co-sponsor, with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, the 2007 America Supports You 9/11 Freedom Walk in Simi Valley, CA. “This annual event is a positive way to honor and remember those heroes who were lost on September 11th,” said Debbie Gregory, President of MilitaryConnection.com. She continued, “It is also a way for Americans to show solidarity for the men and women of the Armed Forces, both past and present, who protect our freedoms.”
MilitaryConnection.com has also joined forces with and facilitated a major partnership to form Operation One Family with numerous Rotary Clubs in Southern California and some outstanding America Supports You groups including TAPS, Homefront America, Soldiers Angels and ThanksUSA. Our mission is to serve the families of the fallen. Operation One Family’s inaugural regional event is a convention-style weekend scheduled for early August in Southern California.
The goal of Operation One Family is to create a model for Rotary Clubs across America to build a lasting bond of enduring support to assist these special families who have made the ultimate sacrifice. We are providing numerous resources including life skills, workshops, continuing support and education. MilitaryConnection.com is very proud to be part of this effort.
MilitaryConnection.com offers something for everyone, including pay charts and calculators, directories of commissaries, a directory of over 30,000 employers, a virtual job fair, a job board, and even free coupons for shoppers. The Military Buzz section of the web site was developed to feature the special events and press releases of hundreds of military organizations and non-profits. You will also find heroes who have gone above and beyond in the war on terror, DoD News, columns of interest, Centcom News, videos, music and more in this dedicated area. We want to hear from you so join our forums and let us know what you think. When the next tour is back home, it is on MilitaryConnection.com.
