MEDAL OF HONOR RECIPIENT

A True American Hero

A True American Hero

On January 11th, Military Connection CEO Debbie Gregory attended a luncheon honoring Medal of Honor Recipient Staff Sgt. Savatore Giunta. Receiving the highest honor the military can bestow on its own is so rare for a living recipient that it hasn’t happened since the Vietnam War. Ms. Gregory found Specialist Giunta to be engaging, yet humble, with a great sense of humor, but also a sense of humility regarding all of the attention he has received. As stated in the Official Citation, “Specialist Salvatore A. Giunta’s extraordinary heroism and selflessness above and beyond the call of duty are in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, Company B, 2d Battalion (Airborne), 503d Infantry Regiment, and the United States Army”. We salute Staff Sgt. Giunta and all of the brave men and women in uniform, past and present.

Let's say Thanks

XEROX makes it easy to say “Thanks”

At LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print and send it to a soldier currently serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. Although you can’t specify who gets it, the card will go to a deserving member of the armed services. It would be AMAZING if we could get everyone to send one!!!  It’s free, and it only takes a second. We can never say "thank you" enough to the brave men and women in uniform.
