If you are attending school full time (12 units or more, not including distance education) you are entitled to tax free housing allowances. To determine the amount that you will receive:

• Click on the Basic Allowance Housing Calculator,
• 2001 for the year should be selected by default
• Enter the zip code of the college or university you are attending in the box for duty zip code
• Enter E-5 with dependents.

The calculator will compute the amount you are entitled to on a monthly basis while attending school.

*Please note everyone receives the benefit for an E-5 with dependents regardless of the rank they attained.
